OVERVIEW
ViewLink CATx KVM extender is an affordable solution to access and control computers from a moderate distance. With ViewLink CATx, you can position a computer up to 1,000 feet away from the KVM station using common twisted pair CATx cable. Use any length of data cable up to 1,000 feet, and the ViewLink will calculate the cable length automatically, set the gain and equalization levels, and adjust the video to provide a crystal clear image. These automatic configuration features make installation easy and remove the need for manual adjustments.
Remote access to computers is useful for a number of reasons. The unit can be used to locate computers and users away from hazardous industrial environments, reduce vulnerability to the feet of hardware and sensitive data, reduce noise and heat, and increase desk and floor space.
ViewLink extender incorporates a range of options in the following models:
