Overview
CrystalLink Serial is an inexpensive and compact unit that extends the distance of any compatible serial device up to 1,000 feet from your PC over a single CAT5e cable. Baud rates up to 115,200 are supported. Once plugged in to a power source, the local transmitter unit also powers the remote unit over the CAT5e cable.
CrystalLink Serial is easy to install by simply plugging the transmitter unit into a PC via the DB9 port and connecting the power adapter. Plug in the receiver unit into the serial device with the DB9 port using the included DB9 male-to-male null modem cable if required. Connect the two units with a CAT5e cable. No additional configuration or setup is required, making CrystalLink Serial an excellent tool for any situation in which a serial device needs to be located at a substantial distance from a computer.
